Cymetra: an alternative to Collagen?

Researchers have long been trying to find a more effective, longer-lasting alternative to collagen. Until very recently, collagen injections have been regarded as the most effective non-surgical way of diminishing unflattering lines and folds around the nose and mouth. More notably, collagen has also been widely used to make lips fuller. The problem with collagen is one of duration. Due to reabsorption of collagen into the body, its effects last only a couple of months, requiring frequent visits to the physician's office, at quite an expense. It is also not uncommon to develop an allergy to collagen.

Now there's Cymetra, a compelling alternative to collagen. Cymetra is the brand name for a form of tissue collected from human cadavers. Like collagen, Cymetra is easily administered through injection, and produces similar results. However, its effects can last for more than a year. Are we at all disturbed by the fact that Cymetra comes from human cadavers. Perhaps. But the results are convincing. Ask your physician for more information.
